Will and Ellie’s wedding at Chateau Fengari in France was one of those weekends that just felt different from the start. Izzy and I flew out from Bristol Airport — and half the plane was full of wedding guests, so the trip over already felt like the celebrations had begun. By the time we landed and stepped out into the Bordeaux heat, it really hit us that this was going to be something special.

I’ll be honest — I used to be a bit reluctant about destination weddings. They always felt like a lot of logistics and pressure. But Ellie’s dad had been following our work for a while and was the one who kept pushing for us to be there. He was a proper character, completely sold on what we do, and eventually changed my mind. I’m very glad he did.

Chateau Fengari is unreal. The light, the space, the atmosphere — it just works. The whole weekend had that relaxed, everyone’s-on-holiday energy, but when it came to the ceremony and the speeches, the emotion was right there.
